Where it begins

God made you, and He loves you.

You are not an accident. The God who made the stars made you on purpose, and He wants to know you. He offers a life of meaning now and a home with Him forever.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."John 3:16

The problem

Something stands in the way.

Every one of us has turned away from God and gone our own way. The Bible calls this sin, and it separates us from the God who loves us. None of us can fix it on our own, no matter how good we try to be.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."Romans 3:23

What God did

Jesus paid what you could not.

Because He loves you, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live the life we could not and to die in our place on the cross. He took the punishment for our sin, and three days later He rose from the grave, defeating death itself. The way back to God is open.

"But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."Romans 5:8

Your response

It is a gift. You only have to receive it.

You cannot earn this, and you do not have to. Forgiveness and eternal life are a free gift. They become yours when you turn from your old way, trust Jesus as your Savior, and follow Him as Lord.

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."Romans 10:9

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God."Ephesians 2:8

You can come to Him right now.

There are no magic words. God hears the honest heart. If you are ready, you can pray something like this and mean it:

"Jesus, I know I have sinned and gone my own way. Thank You for dying for me and rising again. I turn from my old life and I trust You to save me. Be my Lord. From this day, I am Yours. Amen."
